Wu Yi Art Studio displays a collection of artistic works by Ms Wu Yi, a renowned Chinese ceramist and photographer.

Wu's photographic work juxtaposes the forceful and the gentle, the coarse and the delicate. Whether realistic or abstract in style, her photographs are highly expressive. Some works are as boldly coloured and coarse as oil paintings, others are as fine and subtle as Chinese inks.

Wu's pottery draws on the thousand-year-old tradition of Jingdezhen, China's pottery capital. Fired at 1300°C, her ceramics display the same artistic elements - form, colour, lines and composition - found in her photographic works.
